The first book of this series (Book I) is a study of the essential doctrines of the Christian Faith. These core doctrines define true Christianity. Book II is a study of individual Christian living, privilege and practice, about which the Lord has granted much liberty, and it also fully defines the Church within that context. Book III discusses the history of the Church on earth from its early beginnings on the day of Pentecost to the present. Moving through the present day, the study then extends onward in time to events of the last days as they are revealed in prophetic Scripture texts and finalized in the book of Revelation. The overall title chosen for this work is Comprehensively Reformed Christianity. The term “reformed Christianity” or “reformed theology” is commonly applied exclusively to the body of Truth as it first came out of the early Reformation Movement without considering the deeply entrenched traditions that had kept the reform from continuing on to its necessary culmination. The word “comprehensively” in the title therefore does not refer to this work’s exhaustive study of all topics, though they are extensive. Instead, it refers to the overall objective, which is to continue the reform effort beyond that held by the early reformers. To prevent compounding existing errors or falling into the snare of progressive liberalism while doing so, it is imperative that we, as did the early reformers, continue to consider Holy Scripture to be the only valid criteria for judging commonly held doctrines and practices.

Therefore, this work forcefully rejects the liberal view that Scripture is only the early dawn of a larger body of religious tradition as man attempts to intuit a divine being and as such can be ignored or altered as needed to meet the requirements of contemporary man. Without the Bible, we have no common, specific, and durable knowledge of God at all. Five basic doctrinal principles, as attested to by Holy Scripture, form the foundation upon which this work rests and will be echoed throughout its pages. The first of these is that absolute Truth has been revealed to mankind from and through God alone. Secondly, that all doctrinal authority must therefore be based upon God’s Word that is recorded in the Holy Bible alone. Thirdly, that salvation is received exclusively by the grace of God alone. Fourthly, that our response and appropriation of that saving grace is through the gift of insightful faith alone. Fifth, that the object of that faith must remain narrowly focused upon the person of Jesus Christ alone.

This brief analysis of the Islamic belief system is written from a committed biblical Christian's perspective without apology. Nevertheless, we have sought to state significant orthodox Islamic doctrines, traditions, and practices in this booklet as accurately as possible in accordance with supporting texts contained in the Qur'an and the Hadith. As we do so, we respond as necessary with explanatory comments as well as statements of opposing biblical Christian doctrine within an expanded series of footnotes. In the first part of this booklet we discuss the origin and history of Islam, followed by a brief discussion of its leading major sects, various sub-sects and many offshoots existing in today's world. In the second portion of this booklet we begin a discussion of Islamic theology, revealing the various ways in which Islam's doctrines and traditions deviate from sound biblical teaching. We conclude the booklet with a summary in which we ponder various conclusions derived from our analysis. In this summary, we discuss serious concerns regarding Islam's potentially adverse effect upon Christianity, as well as the difficulties encountered with presenting the Gospel of Christ to Muslims. It is our sincere hope and prayer that the information contained in this booklet will aid Christians when witnessing to Muslims to the end that God though his Holy Spirit will quicken Muslim minds to accept eternal salvation in Jesus Christ.

Comprehensively Reformed Christianity Book IV, First Edition, was added to the earlier three-book collection in late 2021. An expanded 2024 Second Edition is now available replacing the First Edition. As did the First Edition, it contains a comprehensive expositional commentary and analysis of the doctrines of the last days as they are presented within the Revelation document. This newly expanded commentary is presented within the context of current major events that appear to be rapidly leading us into the final seven-year period of this current age -- and ultimately to the return of Jesus Christ. This Preamble, as well as the earlier Addendum, which contains background and explanatory Articles to aid the reader in better understanding the commentary in greater depth, have also been revised and re-edited in this latest Edition,
